Dear singers,
Wow. We’re feeling slightly lost for words at Team StreetChoir today … what a tremendous weekend with truly wonderful people! Thank you for coming, thank you for singing, campaigning, taking action, performing and partying. Thank you too for all your lovely comments and useful feedback. It was a privilege to share the weekend with you all.
You’ll see that we now have a comments page for feedback – please do have you say here. There will be a Flickr page soon for sharing photos of the weekend – also, those of you with Facebook accounts can share your pictures on the StreetChoir Sheffield page here. The official photographs of the weekend will also be available soon – keep an eye on Andrew Stepan’s website via the link over on the right of this page.
We’ll also post news here when we get it about who will host the Festival next year! Will it be your choir and town or city? We will say it is hard work but tremendously rewarding on many levels. We promise to support you, as we have been supported this year by Whitby’s team. There will also be a healthy bank balance to get you started. So have a chat with your choir and let us know!
Once again, huge thanks to you all for making it a weekend to remember -
With love from the team xx

It truly was a remarkable, magical uplifting weekend from start to finish- I am no longer a festival virgin!!
THANK YOU so much to all who were involved in any way – you are wonderful people – so friendly and helpful – and none of you looked stressed out or exhausted. I am sure I would have been stressed up to the eyeballs if it had been me.
Bradford Voices and Noteworthy women.
love the Utube massed sing.
Great weekend, just loved being able to sing from the stage of our own City Hall, and found the massed singing of Singing for our Lives from City Hall steps really moving.
Are there any male XL or XXL t shirts left – I’d like to buy one, and was too busy on Sunday to remember to pick one up.

If you know of others who would like XLT s, or who would like Street Choir bags (£1 to Amnesty) do let me know
Very best wishes Laura

My lovlies,
The pleasure was all mine – My word it was fabulous!
The organising team must feel sooooooo proud of themselves.
The Street Choir Festival 2010 was a huge success, it was so well organised, slick and problem free.
And didn’t Sheffield do well, what a fantastic city we live in. Street Choirs (and the weather) gave Sheffield opportunity to really shine. I am so happy and proud of what you/we all did.
Am totally loved up – xxxxx
Thank you so much for an absolutely fabulous weekend, it was very well organised and everyone was so very very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure and a privilege to sing with 750 singers on the civic hall steps what a tremendous sound & sight.
The standard of all the choirs was super and very entertaining but the ultimate and emotionally charged part of the concert was the fab final performance by the host choir ‘out aloud’ there were plenty of tears shed I can tell you!!! thank you once again for a great weekend.xxxxx
I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, and I congratulate you on your superb organisation. I hadn’t visited Sheffield before so I relished the opportunity to explore the city centre whilst locating our busking spots and listening to other choirs. I have wonderful memories of kiddies paddling in the water sculptures as we sang in the Peace Garden, and fabulous acoustics in the Winter Gardens. Also I particularly appreciated a fab band to dance to on Friday night and the late party at The Crucible on Saturday. All this in addition to a stunning Massed Sing, a magical concert, and great workshops. Thank you so much.

The weekend was amazing – thank you to everyone who made it happen. I loved every minute of it but two very special moments for me: the massed sing and the way that each song was introduced; and the final moment of the concert on Saturday with Out Aloud and all of us singing Si Kahn’s Here is my Home – a really magic moment. It was a privilege to be part of it all.
